I live in Moscow. Forgive me for my English, but it is much better than Deutch which I did not learn well at school.
My introduction to computing began with the PC Robotron 1715 while I was in college (Moscow Industrial College) between 1989 and 1993. Among the games, the PILOTS game left a very vivid impression. Unfortunately there is no such game on the floppy disks I have preserved since that time.
In 2008 I got my own robotron 1715, in 2011 I got the 1715M(1715W). Since then, I have been searching for the game for a long time on thematic sites and disc images found there, but without success.
At the beginning of 2018, I was lucky. I found the main file PILOTS.COM on the partially corrupted DS.CPM disk image. To run the game without the overlay file, I partially disassembled it and found a place where changes need to be made to bypass the overlay procedure call.
Hoping to find the missing PILOTS.000 file, I did not stop searching until March 2023. And finally, Google gave me a link to the archive with this game https://forum.vcfed.org/index.php?threads/cp-m-games.55726/post-788103
I would like to express my immense gratitude to Ernst Benser and LiqMatrix for publishing this archive. It turned out that the archive with the game was posted in 2018 but it took five years to find it.
