Hi, I'm from former Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia part) and Robotron 1715 was first computer I ever saw and as a kid I played on it Wurmi many many times at that time. Now, after 32 years I was lucky to purchase one survivor with keyboard and without the monitor. According to http://www.sax.de/~zander/index2h.html I have variante mit KR565RU6 memory (+5V only) with A302 floppy disc controller (TEAC FDDs). I disassembled it and visually inspected, nothing strange there no bulging or leaking capacitors caught my attention.
But I wonder, how to test computer before I first turn it on, probably especially power supply. Should I just measure -5+5-12+12V on connection plate (connector) from power supply to the motherboard without the load, in other words when motherboard is disconnected? As you see I'm not too skilled electrotechnician to answer this, but I think it is not good idea to test power supply without its usual load.
Also is there anything on Robotron 1715, I should be aware of, something which is usual cause of problems after so many years...
P.S. Sorry to use English but I can't speak German and I can find nearly no info about Robotron's in my homeland. Thanks... |
