Does it possible to boot K8915HD from HDD?
Or HDD only for data (not for OS)?

Does anybody have the manuals/schematic/software for K8915HD?

You can only boot from floppy disk and then access the hard disk.
The ROM lacks the code to boot directly from the hard disk.

Der Plan vom Plattencontroller fehlt aber.
Ich hatte mal angefangen den Plan zu zeichnen.
Es sit aber kein Schaltplan geworden, sondern eher ein
Bestückungsplan / Verbindungsplan.
Aber nicht fertig gemacht.

Image K8915HD.td0 from KC-CLub is bad (I can boot, by can't use any utilities - "wrong system version")

The image works though.
That's from my computer.
This is a newer K8915HD in gray housing with
the big CPU card.
128kb RAM and 4KB ROM.

Do you have an older computer?
Then it will not work. The system of my machine would need SCPX8.3
be called.

Hallo DK_spb,

1. error during prinst = Schnittstelle defekt, aber eher die Disk ist defekt.
2. Disable autorun: Disgen.com, "ENTER", "D" (Define coldstart command). Da alles löschen.

C: is not the hard drive.
I think that's only at E: or F: go
I have not had mine for a long time.

No idea why this does not work for you.
Maybe there is an old ROM in it?

Hi Denis,

CASCO is a CASsette COpy program. It was written for older version of K8915. You need an AKB(045-8028) wired on Dd0h and a K5200 cassette drive or an K5221 dual cassette drive unit.

At least you need the adapted CASCO program. I can search for it and send it to you.

MODF is designed for A5120 / K8924 computer.

I don't know, why both programs reside on this disk.

INTE12 should work on your 8915. The screen content is ok actually.I don't know, why the intensity changes sometimes. Perhaps your ABS is configured differently.

Be careful while using INTE12, it is possible, that you destroy the content of the harddisk.

Drive letters of the harddisk start with f: , so that "DIR F:" should work.

The SCPX kernel on the a: disk contains the information on which cylinder the drives start.

I think that possible cause is different charsets. I have Y411-412 chips but I think it was modified. Also I have Y411, Y413 from Poland and this Y411 is different from my.
May be ABS is configured differently. Tomorrow I will try another K8915HD
