The number "P" is the checksum/ check digit of the part number itself. P depends only from xx, yyy and zzzz. The issue level was set behind this number. It consists of a number and a lower case letter. The number was changed, if the modification was extensive and the letter was changed, if the modification was small. example: 05-489-2010-5 0a --> 05-489-2010-5 0b If it is a double sided board there is inserted a "B" for the upper side layout or a "L" for the bottom side layout between the part number and the issue level: 05-489-2010 B 0a.
At the time the ETR220 was developed there was used the older part number system: example: 220-317-012a
