If Your A5120 has high density drives that are actualy working, than it is no A5120...
The A5120 has an K5122 Floppy Controller that is able to format maximal 800 KBytes on such a disk, That is 2S2D not HD at all.
The behavior of the A5120 with the random letters is ok.
You can create a Bootdisk with Teledisk or CopyQM (sorry, don't have an image for you) but this doesn't work on every PC, since not all PC Controllers are able to write the neccessary 26x128 Format of the two boot tracks from that disks.
